SciStarter, a clearinghouse for scientists and interested civilians to find each other for projects has noted that some of their projects run into trouble. With limited time and resources, help is not always available. So they would like to enlist the crowd.
Next month SciStarter will run a contest to help find solutions for these problems. The site is already populated with four of these problems. The problems are looking for solutions that make data collection and/or transmission easier and/or cheaper. SciStarter is partnering with Discover Magazine and Instructables in the contest, and the prizes will interest most any armchair researcher. Register on the website for notices when the contest goes live next month.
