I spotted this little gem on John Tierney’s New York Times blog, TierneyLab. The people behind the Large Hadron Collider raps are hereby on notice – this Stanford duo flows smoother and tighter while making it look easy. College level stuff, but the subtitles help, and it sounds pretty good.
There’s plenty more where that came from. Here’s to more people making songs the Bill Nye way. We’ll end with one for the younger set.
Between these guys, Oort Kuiper (http://www.youtube.com/user/Oortkuiper), Buzz Aldrin’s Rocket Experience collaboration with Snoop Dogg (http://FunnyOrDie.com/m/2kpi), and the LHC rappers, it’s only a matter of time before NSF funds a science & hip hop record label, right?
Possibly in collaboration with the National Endowment for the Arts.
I’m not up to speed on current nerdcore labels, but I could see a successful label having an educational imprint.
