This week many shows are back from break, but not all of them are. Notably the Comedy Central programs are pre-empted, and the NBA Finals will disrupt the Jimmy Kimmel program on the nights (at least two more) that it is on.
In this week’s repeats Thomas Middleditch, who is a tech company player on the HBO program Silicon Valley. His recent appearances with Jimmy Kimmel and James Corden will be re-aired on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.
The highlight of the new appearances this week will be on Thursday’s Late Show. Stephen Colbert will welcome Simone Giertz, best known for her lousy robots. There seems a good chance there will be something as weird as the cereal-eating crane that Stephen wore a few months ago.
Other new appearances this week include Tatiana Maslany on tonight’s (Monday’s) edition of Late Night with Seth Meyers. She plays several different characters, all clones, on Orphan Black. Morgan Freeman is on with Meyers Tuesday, likely to promote the magic-themed movie Now You See Me 2. It’s possible, however, that one of the science-oriented programs Freeman hosts will come up in discussion.
In terms of content I missed, I’ll point you to Friday’s post on the Bill Nye appearance on Chelsea as well as a brief discussion of the coding camp organized by model Karlie Kloss. Expect shows to be back to full strength starting next Monday.
