Weekend Science Culture Grabbag: Rap Guide, Rap Academy and Public Radio Fun

Some science-themed videos and audio program for the weekend.

The latest Science Rap Academy video tackles climate change impacts while reworking the Macklemore & Ryan Lewis song Downtown (though I think the Petula Clark version could work here too).

Baba Brinkman is still developing videos for his Rap Guide to Religion, and released one of them this past week.  Called “God of the Gaps,” it features Gaiaisi and also received support from the Institute for the Biocultural Study of Religion.

Two public radio programs of general interest had science on tap this weekend.  The news quiz show Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me! ran a clip show where the repeated the October 2015 appearance by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson.  The program How to Do Everything included a conversation with the Science and Entertainment Exchange, prompted by nothing other than discovering that the Exchange has a hotline number for creative types seeking scientific guidance for their work.
