Word comes from Discovery Space that there may be a rap battle brewing between large physics labs. The LHC Rap is well established by now. It has been joined by researchers at Fermilab, who recruited a noted nerdcore rapper – funky49 – to drop their knowledge.
Some subtitles might be nice, since that’s a trend in the other science rap tunes of note. No word if alpinekat, the force behind the LHC videos, is planning to respond.
I would like to note that arguably the best in this area is actually in biology, but that absence here may be due to the background of the Discovery Space poster. Maybe it’s because I appreciate the Weird Al approach of using existing tracks and writing new lyrics, or that the biology rappers aren’t afraid to do it live. Either way, I’m in with these guys.
