Buzz Aldrin is part of the latest season of Dancing with the Stars, the U.S. version of Strictly Come Dancing on ABC. Given his proximity to 80 years of age, he’s considered a strong candidate for first to be eliminated from the competition. I’ve not sat through an episode of this competition, as it usually is padding with recaps and extra nonsense to drive most people batty. But it is a way for Buzz to spread his word to several million people, at least for a week. Should you feel the need to do more than send good wishes, check out the show at 8 p.m. Eastern and Pacific tonight, and maybe even vote for the guy. If he’s musical, maybe he can dance well enough to stick around.
The NCAA tournament will keep the CBS shows in repeats for Thursday and Friday this week, and the Comedy Central juggernaut is taking a week off. So the options are limited. You can catch interviews with two stars of Repo Men – the semi-satirical film about health care and credit. The Daily Show will rerun the interview with Jude Law from last week on Wednesday, and Liev Schreiber will appear on Jimmy Fallon’s show on Thursday. Also on Thursday is the repeat of last week’s Colbert Report with Rebecca Skloot and the story of Henrietta Lacks.
There are a few guest spots still not filled this week, so check those local listings in case there are additional science and/or technology related guests this week.
