Science and Technology Guests on Late Night, Week of January 9

Posted by David Bruggeman on January 9, 2012

Chalk it up to the Republican Presidential nomination contests, but we have another dud of a week for science and technology guests.  The Daily Show and The Colbert Report are both focused on the primaries and caucuses (and the debates).  As they are typically the top draws in late night for science and technology content, there’s nothing to report.  Yes, George Lucas sits down with Jon Stewart tonight, but the probable purpose of the visit is promoting the World War II film (Red Tails) his company is producing.

It’s so thin on guests this week that a highlight is a second repeat of Tiffany Schlain’s segment on Last Call with Carson Daly tonight (really early Tuesday morning).  Shlain is the director of Connected, which is still wandering the globe with screenings.  The film details the relationships between people and their technology.

On Wednesday, Ellen will have two people from the National Geographic Channel’s Brain Games program on: Daniel Simons and Jonah Lehrer.  Lehrer is credited as Jonah Richard Lehrer, so I’m not sure if this is the same fellow who writes about neuroscience or not.
