The Latest in Irregular Science and Technology Appointments

Posted by David Bruggeman on December 7, 2011

The next in a series…

The European Commission made it official, Professor Anne Glover is now the first European Chief Science Adviser.

Arun Majumdar, current head of the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy and Acting Undersecretary of Energy, was formally nominated to remove the Acting from the second title.  His confirmation hearing is scheduled for tomorrow, about six months after it was hinted Majumdar would fill the position.

One more nominee has been advanced for the National Science Board, but those nominations tend to be dealt with en masse.
